StayInChamonix is operated by Ed Daynes & Caroline Cooke. When not making use of the holiday apartment in Argentiere in the Chamonix valley we live in Glencoe, in the Scottish Highlands.

Ed is a director of Clachaig Inn, a famous hostelry in perhaps Scotland's most famous and historic glen. In addition, Clachaig operates Carefree Self Catering Holidays, providing high quality 11 holiday cottages, chalets and lodges in and around the village of Glencoe. StayInChamonix is a natural extension of the self catering brand.

Carefree Holidays, under Ed's close and personal direction, handle the booking and administration for StayInChamonix and brings 20+ years of experience to ensure the best service possible for our guests.

In addition, Ed is a partner in The Grog & Gruel, a busy pub and restaurant located on the High Street in Fort William, Scotland. Caroline is an artist working out of Glencoe Studio Gallery.

We first visited Argentiere and the Chamonix valley on a university climbing trip in the summer of 1986. Since then we've been coming back on a regular basis mostly for skiing and snowboarding, but more latterly in the summer months too. Introducing our young children to the delights on offer has been a treat, as we see it with fresh eyes allover again.
